Earth Day Cleanup Every year our middle and high school students team up to help make the world a little greener. It has become tradition for the combined forces of each chapter to spend Earth Day picking up trash for a few hours around the school complex in order to pay it forward and keep the Earth clean for future generations of business professionals. Members love taking part in the purification of our planet and actively enforce the need to keep it healthy; we love our planet!

Relay for Life In 2015, Ludington BPA partnered with Sargent Sand, Inc. for the first time to help sponsor a booth for Ludington's annual Relay for Life event. Held at Ludington High School's football field, the event focuses on raising not only money, but awareness for all types of cancer, while also providing emotional support to those that have lost someone to the disease. Our Ludington high school chapter helped run the booth for the event in June, which consisted of selling items in which funds would be put toward cancer research. Additionally, members intermittently walked the track for the full 24 hours, as a symbol of strength and support, and helped Sargent Sand raise money before the actual event took place in the name of cancer research. In being exposed to such raw humanity, members of all ages were able to selflessly give back to their community and see the difference it made first hand in those affected by the disease.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing What better way to show our holiday spirit than singing loud for all to hear? One of Ludington BPA's favorite traditions is our annual Bell Ringing Project, where we take over all of Salvation Army's bell ringing posts throughout Ludington for an entire day. Members spend the day ringing bells, singing Christmas carols and interacting with members of the community while collecting donations for the non profit organization.

Vacation Station Halloween Weekend
After partnering with Vacation Station RV Park of Ludington, our high school chapter has developed one of its most festive volunteer activities for the year, by attending their annual Halloween Weekend held in early October. While there, members assist with the festivities over the two-day event. Students lend their hands to activities such as preparing pumpkins for children to carve, serving food and participating in their Haunted Hay Ride, and simultaneously aid in providing families of Ludington with a safe and fun holiday event.
